Description
Simarine SC303 & SC503 Digital Shunts
The Simarine SC303 and SC503 are digital shunt modules used within a Simarine system to monitor battery or battery bank voltage, current, and temperature. They serve as the main measurement point for higher-current circuits and connect to compatible Simarine displays such as the PICO and VIA over SiCOM.
Simarine products are built on a modular SiCOM architecture, allowing the system to be expanded with additional compatible modules as needed. Installation is simple through the SiCOM cable system with no termination required, and modules can be connected directly, through a splitter, or daisy-chained depending on the installation.
Both modules also add extra input capability for system expansion, making them useful for applications where you want battery monitoring along with additional voltage or sensor inputs in the same system.
For systems above 35V, shunts must be installed on the negative side. 48V systems also require the correct high-voltage splitter configuration.
